We Want Your Team
Short-term teams form one of the most crucial parts of our story. Short-term missionaries have contributed to the Pimentel vision through evangelism, prayer, construction, leadership training, and ministry development since 1994. Lives changed over the years are a direct result of Christ working through teams. We can help local churches and parachurch ministries plan, organize, and experience missions to the Dominican Republic with a wide spectrum of possibilities.
You will get to see, firsthand, the impact of caring compassion on the lives of children and the impact it can have in a city. We look forward to partnering with you and helping you get your team together. Our trips are typically 9 day trips at an in-country cost of $750 US per person, which also covers ministry costs for the trip. The Pimentel Project will coordinate ministry and construction supplies, provide team housing, in-country travel, meals, translators, and a recreation day.

A Typical 9 Day Trip:
- Monday: Travel Day and possible Orientation
- Tuesday: Orientation and Ministry/Work Day
- Wednesday: Ministry/Work Day
- Thursday: Ministry/Work Day
- Friday: Ministry/Work Day
- Saturday: Rest / Evening Youth Service
- Sunday: Morning Adult Service / Morning Children’s Service
- Monday: Recreation Day
- Tuesday: Travel Day
Individual Forms:
All potential team members must fill out a Trip Application for Missions Teams of the Pimentel Project/Five Gifts Foundation. Approval is dependent upon cleared criminal background checks and pastoral references. Every team member must have a valid passport with an expiration date that expires no less than 6 months after the scheduled missions trip. (If you do not have a valid passport, please begin the application process asap.)
**All trips can involve a lot of walking and working in humid conditions greater than 80℉. All applicants need the physical stamina for these activities.
- The cost per individual team member is $750, including a $50 application fee.
- The $50 application is required for the application to be considered complete. It serves as a deposit and pays for the background check and will count towards individual trip costs.
- A link will be provided at the end of the application to pay online.
